Welcome to Abaco Fin Farm. Here, you’ll see beautiful sculptures of a marlin leaping from the sea, sea turtles swimming by coral reef, whales breaching and grouper hiding behind a sponge. Make sure to check out the Sculpture Images Category.
Glen Haven Gallery owner Robert Trask describes Bob’s bronze sculptures as “unbelievable.†“The anatomy, detail and composition of his pieces are top notch. He is very original and has a great feel for the animals he sculpts. I hope more people come here to support and enjoy his work because they’ll be pleasantly surprised.â€
Bob, a medical technologist for more than 40 years, has poured his heart and soul into each creation since he became a sculptor in the 1980s. Although he has had little formal training, one certainly wouldn’t know it when examining his work. “When I do a piece I try to make it as realistic as possible. For instance, I did a sculpture of a sailfish with a bait in its mouth. When they hit the bait you see their sails all the way up. Then they fling their head and spit it out. I used a piece of welding wire attached with bait that was made out of silver.†Bob uses the Lost Wax Method to create his Marine Scuptures.

Although approximately 70 percent of the earth is covered by water, it remains a world that few people have experienced. Not so for Bob. For him, the sea has always been a mystical place. He has spent a countless number of hours fishing, diving and doing underwater photography in the Bahamas. He has admired dolphins because of their playful spirit, whales because of their sheer size and coral because of their beautiful colors.
